Privacy Policy

CVNova is an app that helps you write a CV with the help of AI. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

Dalsten Group is the controller of the personal data processed in CVNova. Contact: dalstengroup@outlook.com.

What we process

Account: a guest ID, or your e-mail address if you save your account. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
CV content you enter: job title, target country, CV language, name, e-mail, phone, city, links, work experience, education, skills, languages, certificates, profile text and any job ad you paste.
Photo (optional): if you add a photo, it is resized on your device and stored with your account so it can be printed on your CVs. It is never sent to the AI. You can remove it at any time in the app.
AI results: the CV text generated for you, its ATS match score and earlier versions.
Purchases: whether you have an active Premium pass (30 days, does not renew). Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store – we never see your card details.
Usage and technical data: number of AI generations (to apply the free limit), app language, and basic app events such as which features are used.
Device identifier: to give the free AI CV only once per device, the app sends a device identifier (on Android the Android ID, on iPhone a random ID stored on the device). We store only an irreversible, salted hash of it together with how many free CVs the device has used.
Our other apps: to show our other apps, the app fetches a list from our server; only the app name, platform and language are sent, and taps are counted anonymously. The app also checks on Google Play or the App Store that each app is available there; nothing about you is sent.

Why we process it

To provide the service – store your CVs, write them with AI and create PDF/Word files (performance of our agreement with you).
To handle the Premium pass and the free limit (performance of agreement).
To prevent misuse of the free version, using the hashed device identifier (legitimate interest).
To keep the service secure and improve it (legitimate interest).

AI processing

When you ask CVNova to write your CV, the career content you entered (job title, country, experience, education, skills, languages, certificates, profile text and job ad) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate the text. Your name, e-mail address, phone number and links are never sent to the AI – the app adds them to the finished CV on your device. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models and keeps it for at most 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. Please avoid entering sensitive information (for example health or ID numbers) in your CV texts.

Service providers

Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Analytics, Remote Config) – hosting and storage. The database is stored in the EU; some processing (Cloud Functions) takes place in the USA.
OpenAI – AI text generation (USA).
RevenueCat – purchase status (USA).
Google Play / Apple App Store – payments.
Supabase – the list of our other apps and anonymous tap counts (no personal data).

Transfers outside the EU/EEA are protected by the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

We keep your CVs for as long as you use CVNova. You can delete a single CV in the app at any time. Word files you export are stored so the download link works and are deleted together with your data. PDF files are created on your device and are not stored by us. The hashed device identifier is kept so the free limit keeps working, also after you delete your data; it cannot be linked back to you without the device.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete account (guests: Delete my CVNova data). Delete CVNova data permanently deletes all your CVs, versions and exports, and your login too unless another of our career apps (FutureSafe, RaiseCase) still uses it – the app then tells you so. Delete everywhere deletes your login and your data in all our career apps. A guest account is always deleted. You can also e-mail dalstengroup@outlook.com from the address you signed up with. See also how to delete your account. The Premium pass does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel; deleting your data does not refund a pass that is still running. To prevent misuse of the free AI CV, a salted hash of your device identifier and the count of free AI CVs used are kept after deletion; they cannot be linked back to your CVs.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact us to use your rights. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Children

CVNova is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above and, for significant changes, inform you in the app.

CVNova är en app som hjälper dig att skriva ett CV med hjälp av AI. Här beskriver vi vilka personuppgifter vi behandlar, varför och vilka rättigheter du har.

Vad vi behandlar

Konto: ett gäst-id, eller din e-postadress om du sparar ditt konto. Lösenord hanteras av Google Firebase Authentication och syns aldrig för oss.
CV-innehåll du fyller i: sökt yrke, land, CV-språk, namn, e-post, telefon, ort, länkar, arbetslivserfarenhet, utbildning, kompetenser, språk, certifikat, profiltext och jobbannonser du klistrar in.
Foto (valfritt): om du lägger till ett foto förminskas det på din enhet och sparas med ditt konto så att det kan skrivas ut på dina CV:n. Det skickas aldrig till AI:n. Du kan ta bort det när som helst i appen.
AI-resultat: den CV-text som skrivs åt dig, ATS-poäng och tidigare versioner.
Köp: om du har ett aktivt Premium-pass (30 dagar, förnyas inte). Betalningen sköts av Google Play eller App Store – vi ser aldrig dina kortuppgifter.
Användning och teknisk data: antal AI-genereringar (för gratisgränsen), appens språk och grundläggande händelser i appen, till exempel vilka funktioner som används.
Enhetsidentifierare: för att gratis-CV:t bara ska ges en gång per enhet skickar appen en enhetsidentifierare (på Android Android-id, på iPhone ett slumpat id som sparas på enheten). Vi sparar bara en saltad hash av den, som inte går att räkna tillbaka, tillsammans med hur många gratis-CV:n enheten har använt.
Våra andra appar: för att visa våra andra appar hämtar appen en lista från vår server; bara appens namn, plattform och språk skickas, och tryck räknas anonymt. Appen kollar också på Google Play eller App Store att varje app finns där; inget om dig skickas.

Varför vi behandlar uppgifterna

För att leverera tjänsten – spara dina CV:n, skriva dem med AI och skapa PDF/Word-filer (fullgörande av avtal).
För att hantera Premium-passet och gratisgränsen (fullgörande av avtal).
För att förhindra missbruk av gratisversionen med den hashade enhetsidentifieraren (berättigat intresse).
För att hålla tjänsten säker och förbättra den (berättigat intresse).

AI-behandling

När du låter CVNova skriva ditt CV skickas karriärinnehållet du fyllt i (yrke, land, erfarenhet, utbildning, kompetenser, språk, certifikat, profiltext och jobbannons) till OpenAI:s API för att generera texten. Ditt namn, din e-post, ditt telefonnummer och dina länkar skickas aldrig till AI:n – appen lägger till dem i det färdiga CV:t på din enhet. OpenAI använder inte API-data för att träna sina modeller och sparar den i högst 30 dagar för missbruksövervakning, därefter raderas den. Undvik att skriva känsliga uppgifter (till exempel hälsa eller personnummer) i dina CV-texter.

Underbiträden

Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Analytics, Remote Config) – drift och lagring. Databasen lagras inom EU; viss behandling (Cloud Functions) sker i USA.
OpenAI – AI-textgenerering (USA).
RevenueCat – köpstatus (USA).
Google Play / Apple App Store – betalningar.
Supabase – listan över våra andra appar och anonyma räknare för tryck (inga personuppgifter).

Överföringar utanför EU/EES skyddas av EU-kommissionens standardavtalsklausuler och/eller EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Hur länge vi sparar uppgifterna

Vi sparar dina CV:n så länge du använder CVNova. Du kan när som helst radera ett enskilt CV i appen. Word-filer du exporterar sparas så att nedladdningslänken fungerar och raderas tillsammans med din data. PDF-filer skapas på din enhet och sparas inte av oss. Den hashade enhetsidentifieraren sparas så att gratisgränsen fortsätter att fungera, även efter att du raderat din data; den kan inte kopplas till dig utan enheten.

Radera din data

I appen: Inställningar → Radera konto (gäster: Radera min CVNova-data). Radera CVNova-data raderar alla dina CV:n, versioner och exporter permanent, och även din inloggning om inte någon av våra andra karriärappar (FutureSafe, RaiseCase) fortfarande använder den – det talar appen då om. Radera överallt raderar inloggningen och dina data i alla våra karriärappar. Ett gästkonto raderas alltid. Du kan också mejla dalstengroup@outlook.com från adressen du registrerade dig med. Se även så raderar du ditt konto. Premium-passet förnyas inte, så det finns inget att säga upp; att radera dina data återbetalar inte ett pass som fortfarande gäller. För att förhindra missbruk av det kostnadsfria AI-CV:t sparas ett saltat hashvärde av din enhetsidentifierare och antalet använda gratis-CV:n efter raderingen; de kan inte kopplas till dina CV:n.

Dina rättigheter

Enligt GDPR har du rätt till tillgång, rättelse, radering, begränsning och dataportabilitet samt rätt att invända mot behandling som grundas på berättigat intresse. Kontakta oss för att använda dina rättigheter. Du kan också klaga hos Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se.

Barn

CVNova är inte avsett för barn under 16 år.

Ändringar

Om vi ändrar policyn uppdaterar vi datumet ovan och informerar i appen vid större ändringar.
